HydroCam is CNC programming software for hydraulic manifolds that automatically generates machine-ready CNC code directly from your manifold design. It’s fast, accurate, and designed to save engineers time by automating the final step of production. 

Working directly from your HydroMan design, HydroCam imports all geometry and coordinate data automatically and generates ready to run CNC programs in minutes. It replaces hours of manual programming and closes the loop between design and production.

    Draw a smart schematic in HydroSym

    As you design in HydroSym, you add fully configured components. From spool types to pressure setting or accumulator volume, select the right components for your manifold at source.

    Design your manifold in HydroMan

    Test and check your manifold in 2D and 3D as you draw in our software for professional 3D hydraulic manifold design. Build on your HydroSym schematic, allowing automated checklists to stress-test your manifold, for error-free designs.

    Generate CNC machine code automatically

    HydroCam reads your HydroMan drawing, extracting the right information and producing precise CNC instructions. Finally, HydroCam exports the program in a format that your CNC machine understands.

What CNC machines work with HydroCam?

HydroCam is designed to support a wide range of CNC machines used in hydraulic manifold production. It supports standard G-code as well as widely used CNC control systems such as Mazatrol and Fanuc. We are continuously expanding support for additional machines and controls. If your CNC machining center is not listed, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Does HydroCam have an internal database that generates the machine code?

Yes. HydroCam uses an internal machining library to automatically generate machine-ready CNC code for hydraulic manifold manufacturing. You can create and manage your own machining library, ensuring consistent production processes and standardized results across all manifold projects.

What’s the key difference between HydroCam and conventional CAM software?

Unlike general-purpose CAM software, HydroCam is developed specifically for hydraulic manifold production. Hydraulic manifolds contain complex internal flow paths, cross-drillings and cavities that require specialized machining strategies. HydroCam automatically applies manifold-specific machining logic, helping manufacturers reduce programming time, improve consistency and minimize errors.

Does HydroCam support 4- and 5-axis machining centers?

Yes. HydroCam supports 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines. For 4-axis machining centers, HydroCam can help determine efficient clamping sequences based on the manifold geometry and angled drillings, reducing setup time and minimizing re-clamping during production.

Does HydroCam include post-processors?

Yes. HydroCam includes everything needed to export machine code in the correct language for your CNC machining center. Currently, HydroCam supports Mazak machines using Mazatrol machine language. Support for other machines is under development.

How does HydroCam communicate with the machining center?

HydroCam exports machine-ready CNC code as a file in the appropriate format for your CNC machine. The file can then be transferred to the machining center using your existing workflow and machine interface. This approach allows HydroCam to integrate easily into established CNC manifold manufacturing processes.
