The pressure relief valve
DB12120APMZ is a pilot-operated spool
valve with electrical venting.
If the pressure at port 1 exceeds the
pre-set spring tension, the pilot stage
opens and oil ows from behind the
main piston to tank port 2. The resulting
pressure differential causes the main
piston to open and allows oil to ow from
port 1 to port 2.
It can also be switched electrically so
that oil ows through the valve below
the set pressure. In this case the
valve is open providing the solenoid is
energized.
