The SRE is a pressure compensated ow
control valve which maintains a constant
outlet ow by means of a control function.
The ow rate is largely independent of the
pressure.
The valve has a xed orice with pressure
compensator spool. The measuring
orice determines the setting range for
the ow rate and can be adjusted over a
certain range. If oil is owing from 1 to 2,
a pressure drop occurs at the measuring
orice. The pressure compensator moves
into the control position which corresponds
to the force equilibrium. This is created
by the pressure dop acting on the control
piston area overcoming the spring force.
As the ow rate increases (greater
pressure drop), the diameter of the control
orice is reduced until the forces are equal
again. A constant ow rate is therefore
achieved. In the reverse direction there is
free ow through the valve. Caution: if the
required control pressure differential is not
reached, the valve operates as a non-
compensated ow control valve.
