DESCRIPTION
HYDAC proportional pressure control
valves of the P3DRE 6 series are pressure
control valves for oil hydraulic systems that
serve to adjust the level of a pressure.
The valve operates by oil-immersed
solenoid.
The proportional solenoid pushes the
control spool to the desired opening
position via the pressure feedback rod.
The pressure is proportional to the electric
input signal at the solenoid coil.

FUNCTION
The proportional valves of series P3DRE 6 are direct-acting pressure control valves in dierential area design. The pressure is
constantly (proportionally) controlled in accordance with the electric input signal at the solenoid coil.
The valve comprises a valve casing (1) with corresponding control spool (2) with pressure feedback rod (3), and the return springs (4)
for the control spool.
The valve is also equipped with two pole tubes (5) and a proportional solenoid coil (6). In accordance with the input signal, the solenoid
generates a force that acts on the control spool each with the pressure feedback rod. The pressure-active area of the pressure
feedback rod acts against the spring and solenoid force via the control spool.
At the same time, the opening areas are released at the control spool, determining the size of the control pressure at the relevant
control edge.
The manual override (7) enables valve operation without energising the solenoid.
Notice:
a. Vent the system and valve during initial start-up.
b. The valves are available in 12V and 24V coil versions. Electronic controls supplied with 24 V DC enable improved dynamics and
hysteresis values in a valve with 12V coil.
Electronic controls supplied with 12 V DC can only be used in combination with a 12V coil design.
The dynamic advantages of the valve are then lost.

MANUAL OVERRIDE
The valve can also be actuated manually. Various manual override options are available.
The tank pressure should not exceed 50 bar. If the tank pressure is higher, the force required to actuate the manual override is
correspondingly higher. For valves with two solenoids, operating both manual overrides at the same time is not permitted.
