platedesignwithapressurereducingfunctiononthesecondaryside.Itisusedtoreducethesystem
pressure.Thepressurereducingbasicallyconsistsofthehousing(1),thecontrolspool(2),
oneortwo
compressionspring(3)andtheadjustmentelement(4)aswellaswithanoptionalcheckvalve.
Atstaticstate,thevalveisnormallyopen,uidcanowfreefromportP2toportP1(version"DP")or
portA1toportA2(version"DA").PressureinportP1actsatthespoolarea(6)viacontrolline(5)andis
balancedwiththesettingvalueofthecompressionspring.WhenthepressureinportP1exceedsthe
settingvalueofthespring(3),thecontrolspool(2)movesfurthertowardsthecompressionspring(3),
theopeningapertureatportPisgettingsmalleruntiluidatportP1owsbacktotankviathecontrol
land(7)topreventanyfurtherriseinpressure.Theleakageoilinspringchamber(8)isalwaysdrainedto
tankviaportT.
Acheckvalvecanbettedoptionallyinversion"DA"forfreeowfromportsA2toportsA1.
Apressuregaugeconnection(9)permitsthesecondarypressuretobemonitored.
