OPERATION AND DESCRIPTION

This is a 2-way, 2-position, poppet type, normally open solenoid valve. In its de-energized condition ow can take place from port 2 to 1 and from 1 to 2.

When energized, ow can take place from port 1 to 2, but ow is blocked from port 2 to 1 with minimum leakage due to the poppet design. These valves

can be used to hold loads in position or to interrupt a pressure line where ow normally passes in both directions. Due to its low power coil and low

pressure drop, these valves are suitable for high ambient temperature applications, as space savers in a HIC design, or where reducing power consumption

is important.
